It appears that Generation Z may be even more eager than the current Millennial Generation to buy property. According to a national survey on Generation Z conducted by homes.com it appears that 85% plan to buy a home. Not only do Generation Zers plan on buying a home, but they also plan on hiring an agent!

The same report conducted by homes.com also found that 9 out of 10 Gen Zers would use a Real Estate agent for their first-time home purchase. Gen Zers recognize the value that an experienced and successful Real Estate agent can bring. It’s also essential to recognize that like Millennials the Gen Zers are well tied to social media outlets, MLS, Realtor.com, Zillow, Craigslist and more. As a result, they like to search for properties on their own as well. Encourage your buyers the freedom to help you find property types they admire.

Don’t forget just like Millennials that Gen Zers are looking for a personal Real Estate agent to help them navigate their first-time home purchase. Make sure you cater your property services to Generation Z first-time home buyers.

Aside from trusted sales experience the second most important thing you can provide your Gen Z buyers with is knowledge of the local market. Generation Z buyers understand internet limitations and will rely on a Real Estate expert for advise on many topics. You should be able provide buyers information about surrounding schools, transportation, local businesses, walk scores and more.
